Fried green tomatoes are amazing!
About 10 minutes north of I-20, very easy to find.
I think they might, not sure It is usually easier to get seated than on weekends for dinner Tip- not open Monday
Stopped here for dinner on the advice from a local. Both seafood dishes we had were great and were large portions. Our server was friendly and attentive without being intrusive. My only (minor) complaint was that after entering the restaurant, we stood there for about 5 minutes before anybody paid any attention to us. We didn't know if we should find a seat or wait to be seated despite numerous staff walking past us. Despite that, we will be back.
My family is from Texas but anytime we travel we HAVE to stop to eat here. The food is phenomenal, and the service is always top notch (even our most recent takeout order was just as perfect as it would have been sitting in) if I could give 20 stars instead of 5, I would.
Friendly staff. Made us feel appreciated for coming to eat there, even though we were just passing through while on vacation.
Customer service wasn't what I expected. I was recommended by one of their cooks but did not get to eat, because our order was never taken.
The restaurant has a great atmosphere and great service. It has seating for family dining and a bar area for casual dinner. Everything was served quickly. The steak was perfectly seasoned and grilled along with the shrimp. I will dine here again soon!
Will definitely not be back! Waitress was great but other than that the food was not good and management terrible! Overpriced- 2 very small soft shell crabs with creamy tasteless pasta salad for $30. Fried crab had no batter on it, very small, no flavor with crabmeat on top that you couldn’t eat because it was way too salty! Didn’t eat the $20 shrimp pasta either, it was soaked in a whole tub of pure butter. The female night manager was very rude and does not know how to talk to customers or help her staff out. Plates of food sat under heating lamps forever while the waitresses were so busy, and manager was aware and never once brought a plate to a table..poor management!
Great food and service.. ribeye was cooked to perfection..
Appetizers were bland but service was excellent. Crab claws had no flavor at all. Boiled oysters were no better. Hamburger and crab cakes were much better. Overall it was overpriced for what it was worth. I'd skip the appetizers next time. Didn't try any dessert.
Very poor management! I was dissatisfied with my entree. The rude manager wouldn’t give a refund because the pasta matched the description on the menu. I’m sorry but that’s not how you treat your customers! This restaurant needs new management! I’m not about to eat a pasta soaked in butter and have a trip to the emergency room! I’ll be sure to never come here again!
Our server, Jordan, was friendly, informative, and all-together awesome! Food was so delicious. We ate here for lunch and came back for dinner!
We love eating at Rusty’s. It’s a 1 1/2 hour drive and worth it. Love the Grouper sandwich or the grouper salad. Shrimp any way we want them are great. Really like the tarter sauce. The sweet potato fries are great. Thank you Amber for being such a sweet waitress and taking such good care of us.
This place has amazing food the gumbo is so good and my shrimp poboy was off the hook. Loved it definitely recommend for a great meal. And everyone is very nice.
Fab place, the food is amazing especially the fried green tomatoes with hollandaise sauce and lump crab. The service is really good. Highly recommend.
The food was so good got to go back again
The food is really good and the atmosphere is pleasant. I love that you can see the boats docked on the MS River from Rusty's Riverfront Grill.
Delicious food in a tavern atmosphere. This seems to be a local hot spot. Everybody seemed to be there. Luckily we squeaked in and got seated fast. I had the awesome grouper sandwich. Best I've had in quite a while.
Filet mignon was good and the peanut butter and chocolate pie was delicious
Deserves all the stars in the land. We got the Wasabi Tuna, Fried Oyster Poboy, and several pieces of pie. SO AMAZING! Don't forget some fried green tomatoes. We're sad that we're only visiting! Definitely going to be back during our trips to and from Florida.
Valentine's Dinner was absolutely delicious, and our waitress Chloe was so delightful, be we always LOVE our Hannah too! Thank You Rusty's! 💐❤😍
The stuffed grouper is Ah-mazing! I love their tuna caesar salad. They always have great service too. I would even go as far as saying they have the best service in town. Definitely a place you want to grab dinner and cocktails. People drive from all over to eat here.
Great service! Food was good and plentiful. Too much food in fact. Seafood was nicely prepared. We had fried shrimp, crab cakes, and coconut shrimp. Even kids meals were enjoyed! Had about an hour wait, but food was good nonetheless.
Awesome place! Redfish was delicious and stuffed Grouper was so good! The salad dressings are made from scratch and yummy. And the pies.... oh the pies! Kimberly was the best! She took such good care of all we needed. We will travel again to enjoy this fine dining. What a special experience for us. Thanks.
Very good! Fast service. And such good food I had to carry my stomach out like a fireman carrying an infant from a burning building. Lol 😋
Great food. Fun atmosphere. Staff very friendly. Waited about an hour at 8:30 on a Saturday nite but it was well worth it. Recommend the blackened redfish (Rusty’s House Specialty) and the stuffed soft shell crab.
Food: shrimp & grits (great), fried green tomatoes (good). Service (Amber) was very poor. From ordering to drinks to food, there were large gaps in our service. The table next to us (also a party of 2; same waitress) seated AFTER us, ate and were departing when our food arrived at the table. No exaggeration...and they had fish. Amber simply forgot about us and had the nerve to blame the kitchen. As any patron in the restaurant can easily see the food set out from the kitchen, it was her lack of attendance that was the issue. We requested food arrive as it was ready. Instead it was delivered all at once. Fried green tomatoes arrived lukewarm and had to be sent back for reheating.
Horrible food and horrible Managment . We had the soft shell crab with crabmeat on top with onions . The portion was small and very very salty. My daughter had the seafood pasta that was drowned in butter . We complained that the food was horrible the manager basically said that's how it's made. I'm from NOLA and I know good food and how a restaurant should be ran this is not it .
Had dinner here and it was pretty good. We had the calamari as an appetizer. It was pretty good. I'll had a loaded peach tea and shrimp tacos with fries. The tacos were good, the fries were not. I also don't have to have the loaded peach tea again. My boyfriend had the grouper sandwich with fries and a margarita. He liked everything but the fries.
We went to this place based off reviews. We were not disappointed. The fried green tomatoes were amazing! The kids had a burger which was quite tasty and the grouper which we loved. We split a redfish entree and it was unbelievable. Well cooked, well seasoned, and th sauce was unreal. Cute little place. Really really busy but worth it. We had the sweetest waitress. The portions are quite big and a tad pricey but the food was incredible. Try this!
I got the gumbo and my wife got the blackened chicken noodle salad. We also got an appetizer of the fried green tomatoes which were some of the best I've ever had especially with their sauce and crab meat. Was very satisfied. The gumbo did have a little bit of a vinegary taste more than what I'm used to was it horrible but could have been cut with something else I feel. Great place great staff amazing little town!
A must eat for your Vicksburg visit. Great food, good service, easy-going layout. There are some items that are a little expensive on the menu but it's worth it in this place.
We had the Coconut Shrimp and Hawaiian Chicken. Amazing food.
Awesome fish and shrimp. Great area to see history
Food was very good. Not over seasoned, yet seasoned nicely. Heavily trafficked during lunch hours. But the hostess works hard to seat you.
The food and service at this place is great. Had an appetizer, entree and dessert; every course was amazing!
I'm still thinking about the grouper several days later! It was so fresh and delicious!
Dining was safe and food was tasty. I should have had the steak. Drink was not the best. Will definitely good back though. Service was great
First trip there, food was great and service as well. Will go back soon.
Excellent food and service I dont know her name last night but she was an amazing waitress. We really enjoyed our Anniversary
Once you leave, You can understand why this place is a local favorite! Wynette was awesome and knowledgeable about the menu. I was told the other orders were just as appetizing as mine. The portions were nice and didn’t leave you hungry. The Ms Mud Pie was by far one of the best tasting and presented I’ve ever eaten!
This is our favorite place when visiting Vicksburg. Super friendly staff. Great steaks. My wife loves their fish selection and bacon wrapped scallops. This place is awesome!
I took my wife there for her birthday. What a really nice restaurant. It was crowded, but when we tried the food we found out why. The filet topped with lump crab sauce was the best. My wife enjoyed the bacon wrapped scallops. Superb food. Friendly service in historic Downtown Vicksburg.
Technically is riverside but it offers no river view. Fried green tomatoes with crab and hollandaise were excellent as was the seafood platter with scallops. Sweet potato fries were fresh. Pan fried soft shell crab was greasy, salty, and frankly unappetizing. The worst soft shell I've had and I've had it about four times now on my road trip through Lousiana and Mississippi. Good pecan cheescake.
Our Birthday dinner at Rusty’s was perfect. Fried green tomatoes - pretty heavenly - and lovely entrees: bacon-wrapped scallops, Salmon with sweet potato mash, and Rusty’s famous seafood pasta! Our favorite part of the evening was our server, Lucy. So personable! Very attentive, anticipating our needs and smoothing everything into a relaxing celebration. We sat in the bar area with several larger groups (also celebrating) and it was pure Mississippi Magic. We’ll be back! And we’ll be requesting Lucy!
Great food just went on a really busy day and long wait times!
It was good food and they atmosphere was quaint
There for lunch on Saturday. Entries are a little pricey ; but I think that's by design. Mississippi being top producer of catfish, none was on the menu? They indicated to offer catfish couple times during the week. Now the food was good and service was alright. Didn't have to ask for refills. Will go back.
Amazing food. Great service. Nice patio with an awesome view of the MV Mississippi II and the river. Will definitely be back everytime I come to Vicksburg.
Grilled chicken was way to spicy and dry, baked sweet potato was half baked, only 1 side was cooked.. Definitely not my best meal there
My husband and I visited this week. He had the Captain’s Platter (broiled) and I had a cheeseburger, we started with the spinach and artichoke dip for an appetizer. It was delicious but the seafood and the burger were horrible. He had three beers and I had two martinis (which were very good). Our bill came to $112.00. Absolutely ridiculous. Plus the atmosphere is lacking as people do not want to hear screaming children when paying $112.00 for a meal. And it was my husband’s birthday but we were ready to out and didn’t even get desert. We will never be back.
Service, food and atmosphere was awesome. A little pricey but food was very good.
